This spacesuit, made for Mark’s film The Cosmonaut by Megan Rickmers.
Based on vintage soviet spacesuits, an orange jumpsuit with patches added. Megan gave the halloween helmet a new visor, added mechanical detail, and gave the whole thing a paint job to more closely match the real life soviet suits!

As featured in the spaceship set gallery, this spacesuit was quite the jump from the first one. The suit itself was made from an insulated cotton coverall. It was originally a shade of brown/tan and had to be thoroughly bleached numerous times to achieve the final off-white color.
The goal was for this spacesuit to have more of a retro look, so the helmet was made out of a large acrylic lamp dome with an old microphone mouth piece and LED strips lining the inside.
The vest was a life jacket spray painted white with some extra details glued on, the pack was made from an ice cube bin and Clorox wipe containers, and the gloves were just winter gloves also sprayed white.
